Copyright and the related rights have a very important impact on various aspects of museum activities. 2015 may very well become an important year for the application of copyright in the museum. NEMO has launched a survey to give an overview of the most important issues that museums face with copyrights.
NEMO works for copyright being put into balance within the current developments for the museum sector. Many museums feel themselves to be hindered in their practices and projects by copyright.
To be able to give evidences of the limiting factors of copyright, NEMO has set up a survey amongst the European museums. NEMO asks the European museums to contribute to the survey in order to gain an overview of the most pressing issues in museums facing copyright questions and will help the network build arguments for the political decision-making.
